To be considered for employment, you must first submit the combined Online Application and Background Check Authorization form. 

Please note: All Police Department applicants will also need to fill out, sign, and notarize the  Notary Authorization for Release of Information.

As of January 1, 2024, the City of Alpine follows the EMPLOYMENT APPLICATION PROCEDURES outlined below:

Openings:

  • The City of Alpine will only accept COMPLETE applications for CURRENT openings.
  • As of September 1, 2023, the City of Alpine only accepts online applications.
  • A complete application includes both the general application and background check authorization form, included as ONE document at the above link.
  • All positions are subject to deadline extension or closing without notice.

Review of Applications:

  • All applications will be reviewed within THREE (3) business days after the official posted closing date.
  • Only candidates who have met the minimum job requirements will be considered for the position.
  • Not all candidates will be interviewed, even those who meet the minimum job requirements.
  • If your application was not selected for an interview, you will be notified within THREE (3) business days of the officially posted closing date.
  • ** Please make sure to select HOW YOU WOULD LIKE TO RECEIVE NOTIFICATION from the City of Alpine regarding your application on the Application itself. **

Candidate Selection:

  • Interviews with the most-qualified candidates will be scheduled within FIVE (5) business days after the official posted closing date.
  • Once a qualified candidate has been selected and accepts the position, those interviewed but not selected will be notified within TEN (10) business days after the officially posted closing date.
  • The selected candidate will be notified with the job offer, followed by an official offer letter.
  • If needed, the selected candidate will have TWO (2) business days to decide to accept the position, as offered.
  • After acceptance, a start date will be scheduled.
  • The selected candidate will not be considered an official City employee until mandatory drug screening and onboarding procedures have been completed on the official, scheduled start date.
