PUBLIC SERVICE RECOGNITION WEEK

May 5th - 11th  has been designated by Congress as Public Service Recognition Week and the City of Alpine recognized the immeasurable contributions made by city employees each day to improve the quality of life for the residents in Alpine, Texas.

Mayor Andres Ramos recognized public service employees with a proclamation at the May 7th City Council meeting thanking all public service employees for their efforts and dedication.  Activities for the week included an appreciation day and a luncheon.

The City of Alpine currently employs 79 persons, both full and part time, in its administration, airport, building services, finance, gas, parks, police, sanitation, sewer, streets, tourism and water departments.
