Catherine Eaves worked her way through college, earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry, while employed in the banking industry. She earned her Master of Science Degree in Microbiology while working as a Microbiology Researcher. 

Eaves spent 25 years as a Secondary Science Educator and an Adjunct College Professor and one year working for the Montgomery County Sheriff's Department in the Records Division.  She also founded and currently directs a nationwide NonProfit Organization benefiting current and former First Responders. 

Mayor Eaves is an eight-generation Texan and mother of two successful children. One of Catherine's strengths is her ability to work with people of differing opinions and backgrounds.

Judy Stokes is the mother of 4 grown children, 5 grandchildren, and one small dog, Penny Lane. Stokes comes from a long-standing, civic-minded family. Her uncle, Hugh S. White, was Mayor of Alpine in the 1950s and her father, John E. Allen, was a District Judge in Austin and Alpine City Attorney for many years.

Councilor Stokes graduated from Alpine High School and received a Bachelor of Business Administration with a teaching certificate from Sul Ross State University. After working for the Brewster County Sheriff's Office for nearly 20 years, Stokes retired, ran, and won a seat on the Alpine City Council representing the citizens of Alpine in Ward 1. Councilor Stokes loves Alpine and works hard to represent her constituents.

Councilor Stokes sits on the Alpine Animal Board and on the Board of Directors of the Family Crisis Center of the Big Bend. She is also a member of the Alpine Kiwanis and the Alpine Ambassadors.

Chris Rodriguez is an Alpine native, born the middle of three children to Simon and Isabell Salas. Rodriguez loves Alpine and has lived in Alpine most of her life. Her vision for the already-great City of Alpine includes the unity of all citizens to develop positive improvements for the city, while making sure that she is accessible to her constituents and transparent in her actions as a public servant.

Councilor Rodriguez graduated from Alpine High School and then attended Sul Ross State University, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and a minor in Business.  She currently works as a Property Manager for Skyway Gardens, which provides her with the perfect platform to meet and visit with people within the community, allowing her to feel the pulse of this great city. Rodriguez is also active with the Alpine Ambassadors.

Councilor Rodriguez is the proud mother of two amazing grown sons, Justin and Jarrod, and the proudest grandmother to one grandson, Elliot.

Sara Tandy is a third-generation Alpine resident and daughter of Raul and Esther Dominguez. Tandy grew up in Alpine and graduated from Alpine High School. She was a cheerleader for Alpine High and then for the Sul Ross State University Lobos, where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Education and a Master of Arts in Education from Sul Ross State University as a member of the Beta Iota chapter of the Delta Kappa Gamma honor society.

Councilor Tandy has devoted her 30-year career in teaching to furthering the education of Texas students in West Texas and Central Texas. She is a member of the Association of Texas Professional Educators, was an Extreme Cheer-Squad Board Member, and has been a Brewster County 4H Sponsor. Tandy was designated the 2008 Teacher of the year for Region 18 in the State of Texas.

Councilor Tandy is the proud mother of two daughters, Courtney and Ashley. She enjoys traveling with her husband Barry, is an avid supporter of National Parks, and enjoys spending time with her dog Pepper. Tandy ran for office to improve streets, improve City relations, and enhance the services afforded to Alpine residents. She is proud of the accomplishments that the Council has made since she entered office and looks forward to continuing her service to the residents of Alpine.

Martin Sandate is a third-generation Alpine resident who has lived in Ward 4 his entire life. He was a graduate of Alpine High School and attended Sul Ross State University, where he studied education. Martin proudly served our Country in the United States Army and is currently an active member of the American Legion Post 79.

Councilor Sandate began working with the Texas Department of Transportation after college and had a rewarding 34-year career with the State before retiring in 2013. Sandate’s most recent role at TxDOT as Maintenance Supervisor provides him with a unique understanding of the functions of the City Public Works Department.

Sandate ran for office to make improvements to Ward 4 and the City at large. Councilor Sandate is proud of the significant accomplishments that the City has made since he entered office, including the considerable increase of paved City Streets. Sandate enjoys serving the residents of Ward 4 and the City at large and looks forward to keeping Alpine the best town in West Texas.

Jerry Johnson is passionate about Alpine and thoroughly enjoys working for his constituents and the city at large.

Councilor Johnson, a former two-term Mayor of Alpine, is self-employed and has served the citizens of Alpine in many different facets over the years, including President of the Southwest Texas Municipal Gas Corporation, where he was a key member in overseeing the smooth transition and purchase of the gas company by the City of Alpine. As a member of the Brewster County Central Appraisal District Board of Directors and the County Appraisal Review Board, Johnson is able to give back to the community by serving the interests of the County, the City, and the constituents that he serves.

Councilor Johnson has a vision of making Alpine the best place that it can be.
